Hawaiʻi Island police are renewing their request for information about a 59-year-old Keaʻau man who was reported missing.

Barton Allen Bumatay is described as a local male, about 6-foot-1, about 255 pounds with a tan complexion, brown eyes and salt-and-pepper medium-length wavy hair. He was last seen on December 31 during the early evening hours.

Police are also looking for his 2007 Chevy Colorado four-door pickup truck, which may still display a license plate of HLX 461.

Detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigation Section are continuing the investigation.

Anyone with information about Bumatay or the pickup truck is asked to contact either Detective Sandor Finkey at 961-2384 or sandor.finkey@hawaiicounty.gov or Detective Wendall Carter at 961-2378 wendall.carter@hawaiicounty.gov.
