Media Release

Hawaiʻi Island police are warning the public about a warranty scam.

Two men in a U-Haul van have been going door to door in Puna selling what has been described as cheaply made equipment, such as generators and pressure washes, and claiming that if the equipment needs repairs, a rental company in the Shipman Industrial Park in Keaʻau will repair it.

The rental company is not affiliated in any way with the sellers of the equipment.
