A 28-year-old man who is being featured on the television program “Hawaiʻi Island’s Most Wanted” has been arrested and charged with three offenses.

Aaron Raymond Castro was arrested Monday after turning himself in at the Hilo police station. He was charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree assault and second-degree theft. His bail was set at $9,000. He was held at the Hilo police cellblock until his initial court appearance on Tuesday (June 23).

Castro was wanted for a May 23 robbery outside an apartment unit on the 400 block of Waiānuenue Avenue in Hilo. The 30-year-old male victim reported being struck in the face by an acquaintance, who reportedly took his backpack and then fled by vehicle.

Castro is one of three wanted persons being featured on the episode of the cable access program that began airing June 12.
