Hawaiʻi  Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two persons wanted in connection with an investigation into the theft of food from a Hilo restaurant.

Shortly before midnight on June 30, a man and a woman with three young children ordered $71 worth of food at a restaurant at the corner of Kamehameha Avenue and Kanoelehua Avenue and then left without paying.

Their images were captured on a surveillance camera.

Police ask anyone who knows the identities of either person to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 and ask for Officer Daniel Kuwabara.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
