Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of using counterfeit money in Hilo on August 14.

He is pictured in a surveillance image from a local gas station.

Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call Officer Jacob Obermiller at 961-2213 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
