Officers from the Hawaiʻi Police Department conducted a flag-raising ceremony at Lincoln Park in Hilo at 9 a.m. Wednesday (November 11).

Special thanks go to the Department of Parks and Recreation for making the needed repairs to the flag pole in time for Veterans Day. The Hawaiʻi Police Department salutes all veterans and thanks them for their sacrifice and service.

The Police Department is looking to partner with veterans and service groups, youth groups or community groups that may be interested in raising and lowering the flag at Lincoln Park on a regular basis. Interested groups are asked to call Major Randy Apele at 961-2346.
