FUGITIVES SOUGHT – Police are seeking Jennifer Renee Reed, 15, left, and George West Craigen, 38. The two are believed to have fled together after Craigen assaulted an adult woman last May at a residence in the Puna subdivision of Hawaiian Paradise Park.

Big Island police are looking for a 38-year-old man wanted in connection with a domestic violence incident that occurred last May at a residence in the Puna subdivision of Hawaiian Paradise Park.
George West Craigen is wanted for various offenses, including abuse of a family or household member, stemming from an assault on an adult female on May 28, 2000. Before responding officers could arrive, Craigen fled the scene with the victim’s 15-year-old daughter, who is believed to still be with him.
The juvenile, Jennifer Renee Reed, is also being sought as a runaway.
Craigen is described as a Caucasian, being 5-feet-7 in height, weighing about 140 pounds and having a slim build, brown hair, blue eyes and a tan complexion. He usually wears a baseball cap and has a discolored front tooth.
Reed is describes as a Caucasian, being 5-feet-7 in height, weighing about 105 pounds and having straight light brown hair, hazel eyes and a fair complexion.
Police warn that Craigen is considered to be dangerous and should not be confronted by members of the public.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Craigen or Reed is asked to call Detective Ron Paul of the Domestic Violence unit at 961-8883 or the police number at 935-3311.
Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. The numbers are answered 24 hours a day. Callers will be given a coded number and their identity will remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if their call leads to an arrest, indictment or the recovery of property. Crime Stoppers neither subscribes to “Caller ID,” nor does it record phone calls.
