MEDIA RELEASE

Big Island police are not looking for Bryan Kalama Taniguchi, as we erroneously reported earlier in connection with the TV program "Hawaii Island's Most Wanted."

Taniguchi is deceased. His name, which was on a database of individuals being sought by police, wasn't removed from the database after his death.

We apologize for including his name on a media release about "Hawaii Island's Most Wanted." He will not be featured on the program.
