Two juveniles have been charged with assault in connection with a fight Wednesday (March 5) at Konawaena High School.

Police responded to a report of the fight at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the high school, where it was reported that a 15-year-old boy had been the victim of an assault by two 16-year-old boys.

The victim sustained a fractured eye orbital in the fight. He was treated at Kona Community Hospital and released.

The two suspects were arrested and charged with second-degree assault. Because they are minors, they are under the jurisdiction of Family Court. They were released to their parents at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday.
