The Hawaii Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying vandals who have been stealing and destroying signs posted on the Fern Acres Community Association's community bulletin board.

Numerous incidents of theft and damage have been reported since June. The bulletin board is located at the corner of South Kulani Road and Puhala Street in Mountain View.

Police ask that anyone with information about the identity of the vandals call Community Police Officer Scott Amaral at 966-5835. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
