MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

A woman whose body was discovered Monday (October 4, 2004) in the corner of a parking lot at a Waikoloa residential complex has been identified as Wanda Brenner, 76, of Waikoloa Village.

Brenner was identified through dental records.

The results of an autopsy conducted Thursday, combined with the results of an investigtion, concluded that the woman apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Responding to a 2:46 p.m. call on Monday, South Kohala patrol officers had found her partially decomposed body in the parking lot of Waikoloa Villas.
