MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

An autopsy on a 71-year-old fisherman who died Monday (June 5, 2006) at South Point revealed that the cause of death was cardiac arrest.

The man was identified as John Gali of Naalehu.

A passerby reported at 11:30 a.m. Monday that the man was lying face down in the water at South Point.

Gali was taken to Kona Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3 p.m.

The autopsy was done Tuesday.
