I. INTOXICATING LIQUORS

The consumption of alcoholic beverages of any description by members will be governed by the following restrictions.

A. Members shall not drink intoxicating beverages while on duty except in performance of a police duty and never in uniform.

B. No member in uniform or while on duty shall enter any place where intoxicating liquors are kept or offered for sale, for the purpose of purchasing liquors.

C. No intoxicating liquors shall be taken into or kept in the police premises or vehicles other than what is confiscated or held as evidence.

D. At no time will the use of alcoholic beverages during off duty hours interfere in any way with the member reporting for scheduled duty nor his competent performance of duty, i.e. odor of liquor on breath, reporting for duty in an intoxicated state.

II. DRUGS

The use of tranquilizers, depressants and/or stimulating drugs by officers and employees at any time is expressly prohibited except when prescribed by a physician.
