Hawaiʻi Island police are renewing their request for information about a fire at the Waiākea Uka Gym in Hilo on December 10.

Police and firefighters responding to a 4:30 a.m. report found the fire concentrated at the northwest corner of the building. Fire personnel extinguished the flames and estimated the damage to the walls and roof area at $65,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
