HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT
OFFICE OF THE CHIEF
LAWRENCE K. MAHUNA
JUNE 8, 2007
A suspected car theft and a couple who last saw a missing man are among the persons who will be featured on the next edition of the Crime Stoppers television program "Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted."
The new episode starts airing Friday, June 8.
In it, police renew their request for the public’s help in locating a missing man and two people wanted for questioning in connection with his disappearance. The missing man is identified as Stephen Lamaka Pua, 69, of Hilo. He has a health condition that requires medication. He was last seen with 28-year-old Sarah Faye Wilson and 34-year-old Cedrick Donell Darby, also known as "Walter," at their Kaumana home on April 13. Wilson later was also reported missing.
"Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted" also asks for the public’s help in finding Christian Earl Alameda, 32, who is suspected of multiple vehicle thefts. Alameda is described as 5-foot-6, about 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has no permanent address but he frequents the Hawaiian Paradise Park area of Puna. He drives an older-model Honda CRX. The car’s color is unknown because it is frequently repainted.
The TV program’s host, Major Jay Enanoria, asks anyone with information about any of the wanted or missing persons to call the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311, or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo and 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers calls are kept confidential. Crime Stoppers does not tape record phone calls or subscribe to caller ID.
"Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted" is a project of Crime Stoppers Hilo, Inc., which is a partnership of the business community, the media and the police. It was inspired by the national TV show, "America’s Most Wanted."
The program airs on Oceanic Time Warner’s public access Channel 54 on Sundays at 5 p.m. and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. It also airs intermittently on Channel 53.
