|Wanted: John Hauoli and Ewa Gilbert||Missing: Sean Ryan|
The new episode starts airing today (October 19.) In it, police ask for the public’s help in locating 37-year-old John Hauoli and 31-year-old Ewa Gilbert. They are wanted for numerous theft and forgery cases involving the cashing of bogus payroll checks. Police ask anyone with information about their whereabouts to call Detective Kenneth Quiocho at 326-4646, extension 281.
"Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted" also renews its request for help in locating 23-year-old Sean Ryan of California, a missing man who was last seen at a friend’s home in the Fern Acres subdivision of upper Puna on August 12.
The television program, which was prerecorded, also asks for the public’s help in locating 44-year-old Harry Hose who was suspected in a home invasion robbery. Hose has since turned himself in and is no longer wanted.
The TV program’s host, Major Jay Enanoria, asks anyone with information about any of the wanted or missing persons to call the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311, or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo and 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers calls are kept confidential. Crime Stoppers does not tape record phone calls or subscribe to caller ID.
"Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted" is a project of Crime Stoppers Hilo, Inc., which is a partnership of the business community, the media and the police. It was inspired by the national TV show, "America’s Most Wanted."
The program airs on Oceanic Time Warner’s public access Channel 54 on Sundays at 5 p.m. and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. It also airs intermittently on Channel 53.
