Assisted by officers of the West Hawaii Vice Section and Airport Smuggling Unit, the warrants were executed on alleged drug dealers, their residences and motor vehicles.
The warrants resulted in the recovery of more than two ounces of crystal methamphetamine, or “ice,” small amounts of cocaine and dried marijuana, drug paraphernalia, controlled pills and a firearm. In addition, $16,357 in cash and three motor vehicles were seized for possible forfeiture.
On Wednesday (February 2, 2005), police arrested Joseph Jardine III, 36, and Emma Yates, 21, both of Holualoa, North Kona.

Yates was charged with one count each of promoting dangerous drugs and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held in the police cellblock in lieu of $4,000 bail.
