MEDIA RELEASE

Kona police are stuck with 27 sets of keys and are looking for the owners.

Police said U.S. Post Office found the keys in mailboxes around Kona and recently turned them in to the police.

Sergeant Bradley K. Main of the Kona Patrol said police are now in possession of 27 sets of keys. Some are individual keys and some are sets of keys on a key ring or key chain, but all of key chains have at least one U.S. postal box key on them, he said.

Main said that police want to find the owners of the keys. He said that anyone who has lost a set of keys should call him to schedule an appointment at the Kona police station to identify the keys. The number to call is 326-4646.
