Man arrested after stabbing incident 11-28-14

On Thursday (November 27) at approximately 9:40 a.m., Hawaiʻi Island police responded to a reported stabbing in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Puna. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 32-year-old Keaʻau man had been stabbed with a knife in his upper abdomen area. The victim was transported to Hilo Medical Center for treatment and was later flown to The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu, where he remains in critical condition.

The suspect, 57-year-old Daniel Holland of Pāhoa was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault. He is being held at the Hilo police cellblock while detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations section continue the investigation.
