Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 81-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease.

Francis Lee Topliff of Mountain View was last seen at 8:30 Thursday morning (May 10) walking on Ihope Road. He was wearing blue jeans, black cowboy boots, a blue flannel shirt, a baseball cap and an ID bracelet.

The Hawaii Fire Department conducted a ground and air search and the Police Department helped with a scent dog, but they were unable to locate the missing man.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.
