Police have arrested one of two brothers being sought on warrants for contempt for court, but the other is still at large.

The two were identified as Rodley Jordan Ford, 22, who was arrested Friday (May 10, 2002), and his brother, Jomal Ford, 23, who is reported still at large.

Rodley Ford, arrested in the Fern Forest area of Puna, is being held at the Hawaii Community Correctional Facility in Hilo pending pre-trial arraignment.

Jomal Ford, who is still being sought by police, is described as being black, being 5-feet-5 in height, weighing 140 pounds and having brown eyes and black hair.

Police had been looking for the two brothers since February this year.

Anyone with information about Jomal Ford’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective Greg Esteban of the Hilo Criminal Investigation Section at 961-2384 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. The numbers are answered 24 hours a day. Callers will be given a coded number and their identity will remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if their call leads to an arrest, indictment or the recovery of property. Crime Stoppers neither subscribes to “Caller ID,” nor does it record phone calls.
