Big Island police are seeking help from the public in identifying two persons involved in a shoplifting incident on July 23 at a surf shop in Pāhoa.

The suspects were recorded on video surveillance. Both were described as female, in their late 20s through mid 30s, about 5-foot-5, 210 to 250 pounds with tan complexions and large builds. One appears to have a "tribal type" tattoo on the right upper arm. The other was described as wearing a basketball jersey top.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case call Officer Kenneth Ishii at 966-5835 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
