Police seek ID of suspect in property damage case 02-03-15

Hawaiʻi Island police are investigating a criminal property damage case that took place on January 20 at a store in Puna.

At approximately 11:15 a.m. on that date, an irate customer damaged a piece of equipment by knocking the item to the floor.

He is described as Caucasian 5-foot-5, 150 pounds and in his late 30s with brown eyes and short, dark-brown hair. He was wearing a black cap, multicolored shirt, white shorts and black rubber slippers.

He drove away in a silver 2002 Dodge Caliber 4-door sedan.

Police ask anyone with information about his identity or whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Officer Kimo Veincent at 965-2716.
