Big Island police are looking for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing from her Puna residence since Wednesday, September 5, 2001.

The girl was identified as Joycelyn S. Medeiros. She is described as being a Caucasian female, being 5-feet-3 in height, weighing about 110 pounds with a slim build and having black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Officer Peter Kualii of the Hilo Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2373 or the police non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. The identities of Crime Stoppers callers are kept strictly confidential.
