Police have renewed a request for the public’s help in finding the father of a 12-year-old girl who violated a temporary restraining order and took the girl with him from her mother’s house in Kalapana, Puna.
The suspect was identified as Leonard Troy Green, 39, of an unknown address.
Leonard Green is described as being a Caucasian, being 5-foot-7 in height, weighing about 150 pounds with a slim build and having a fair complexion and brown hair.
The girl was identified as Natasha K. Green, who reported left her mother’s house voluntarily with her father.
Natasha Green is described as being a Caucasian, being 5-foot-1 in height, weighing about 101 pounds and having brown hair and metal braces on her teeth.
Leonard Green, wanted on a bench warrant for contempt and an arrest warrant for violation of a court order and custodial interference, is described as driving an olive green Toyota pickup truck with unknown plates.
Green is considered armed and dangerous, and police caution the public not to approach the suspect, but to call them immediately.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of either person is asked to call Detective Raymond Rodrigues at 961-8883, the Puna Patrol at 966-5835 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. The numbers are answered 24 hours a day. Callers will be given a coded number and their identity will remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if their call leads to an arrest, indictment or the recovery of property. Crime Stoppers neither subscribes to “Caller ID,” nor does it record phone calls.
