Big Island police are looking for a 13-year-old girl who has been missing from her Pahoa, Puna, residence since March 8, 2000.
The girl, Nicole Akana, is described as being of Chinese, Hawaiian and Japanese descent, being 5-feet-3 in height, weighing about 112 pounds and having long brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Akana’s whereabouts is asked to call Officer Peter Kualii of the Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2373, the police emergency number at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
