Big Island police are investigating two shooting incidents in Volcano late Tuesday night (December 21).

Responding to an 11 p.m. call of shots having been fired and possibly hitting a house in the Royal Hawaiian Estates subdivision, Puna patrol officers discovered that two houses on Mokuna Street appeared to have been hit with gunfire.

No one was injured from the shooting. Police have not determined a motive.

Detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section are continuing the investigation, which is classified as first-degree reckless endangering.

Police ask that anyone with information on this case call Detective Brian Miller at 966-5835.
