Acting on a search warrant, officers of the West Hawaii Ice Task Force and Vice Section arrested two men and a woman for a variety of drug and other offenses.

The suspects were arrested during the execution of a search warrant at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday (May 25, 2005) on a hotel room in Kailua-Kona.

The suspects were identified as Shelly Minick, 43, of no permanent address; Eric Johnson, 37, of Kailua-Kona; and Darrin Hardie, 35, of Kailua-Kona.

The arresting officers recovered 0.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, or “ice”; 10.25 pounds (4,657.3 grams) of a liquid substance containing methamphetamine; 1.2 grams of cocaine; and 2.2 grams of dried processed marijuana.

At 12:30 p.m. Friday, Minick and Johnson were charged with seven counts of promoting dangerous drugs and five counts of illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. Minick was also arrested and charged on an outstanding bench warrant for contempt. Johnson was also charged on four outstanding bench warrants — two for contempt of court and two for revocation of probation.

Hardie was charged with two counts of promoting detrimental drugs and released on his own recognizance.
