Three men and a woman have been arrested and charged with a variety of offenses stemming from an alleged robbery that occurred early Tuesday (May 31, 2005) near the Isaac Hale Beach Park in Puna.

The three male suspects were identified as Robert Kozuki, 32, of Pahoa; James Rosales, 28, of Pahoa; and Joshua Tucker, 24, of Mountain View. The female suspect was identified as Terra Blackford, 23, of Pahoa.

The four were arrested after a 22-year-old Hilo man reported to police that he had been attacked and robbed about one hour before responding Puna patrol officers located the suspects at nearby Ahalanui Beach Park. The victim, who knew his asailants, was injured in the robbery, but required no immediate medical attention.

On Wednesday evening (June 1, 2005), East Hawaii Criminal Investigation Section detectives charged the four suspects with a variety of offenses.

Kozuki was charged with unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, assault, criminal property damage, sexual assault and theft. He is being held in the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $5,250 bail.

Rosales was charged with assault, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, two counts of theft and robbery. He was being held in the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $3,300 bail.

Tucker was charged with unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and assault. He was released after posting $1,100 bail.

Blackford was charged with theft. She was released after posting $100 bail.
