BUSTED IN DRUG RAID – Ludvico Lazo, left, and Jeremy Iriarte were arrested in a Banyan Drive hotel room for allegedly distributing crystal methamphetamine, or “ice.” Lazo was charged with a variety of felony drug offenses and is being held on $15,000 bail; Iriarte was released pending further investigation.

East Hawaii Ice Task Force and Vice Section officers arrested two male suspects Monday (February 1, 2005) for allegedly distributing crystal methamphetamine from a Banyan Drive hotel room.

Acting on a tip, the officers arrested Ludivico “Ludi” Lazo, 36, of a Papaikou address, and Jeremy Iriarte, 28, of a Hilo address.

Lazo was charged with one count of second-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, two counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and three counts of illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Iriarte was released pending further investigation.

Executing a search warrant on the hotel room at 5:45 p.m., officers seized 17.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine, or “ice,” and a scale. The seized drug had an estimated street value of $7,000.
