Two males charged for various drug and firearm offenses 02-12-06

The Hawaii Police Department’s West Hawaii Ice Task Force officers arrested and charged two men on various drug and firearm offenses Saturday (February 11, 2006) after executing several search warrants.
Vicente Dulai Deguzman, a 25 year-old male of Waianae, Oahu, was arrested Thursday (February 9, 2006) in Kailua-Kona after a search warrant was executed upon his motor vehicle. Police seized small amounts of crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
On Friday (February 10, 2006) police executed a search warrant upon a hotel room in Keauhou, North Kona. The task force officers recovered over 22 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, approximately an ounce of dried marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Another occupant of the hotel room, Junard Ciubal Ceno, a 27 year-old male of Waianae, Oahu, was also arrested on drug charges.
Ceno was charged with one count of Unlawful Methamphetamine Trafficking, two counts of Promoting a Dangerous Drug, two counts of Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and one count of Promoting a Detrimental Drug. Ceno is being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $250,000.00 bail.
Deguzman was charged with one count of Unlawful Methamphetamine Trafficking, three counts of Promoting a Dangerous Drug, three counts of Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, two counts of Promoting a Detrimental Drug, and four firearm offenses.
Deguzman was also arrested on two District Court bench warrants for failure to appear. He is being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $250,200.00 bail.
In addition to the drugs, officers also seized a motor vehicle and $16,450.00 in currency for possible forfeiture.
Police are continuing their efforts in addressing the “Ice” problem on the island of Hawaii. The Ice Hotline is one means in which the public can anonymously report information relating to illicit drug use and distribution. The phone numbers to call are 329-0-ICE (329-0423) in Kona and 934-VICE (934-8423) in Hilo.
In addition to the Ice Hotline, persons with information regarding the trafficking of illegal drugs into the State of Hawaii may call the Drug Interdiction Task Force at 326-9539 or anyone with information regarding other types of crimes may call Crime Stoppers at 329-8181 in Kona or 961-8300 in Hilo.
