South Kohala police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for two burglaries at Waimea School.

The first burglary occurred sometime between Friday night (April 7, 2006) and Sunday morning (April 9, 2006).

The burglars gained access to a portable classroom on campus and removed a silver GO VIDEO DVD/VCR player, an E-machine computer with flat screen monitor, a frisbee, a soccer ball, a basketball, a volleyball and a pencil sharpener.

The second burglary occurred sometime between Monday night (April 24, 206) and Tuesday morning (April 25, 2006).

The burglars gained access to another portable classroom on campus and removed a 27-inch Sharp color television, a silver GO VIDEO DVD/VCR player, an E-machine computer with flat screen monitor, four computer speakers, a beige nylon net bag with draw string and a Lahaina koa wood four-string ukulele.

Anyone with information on either crime is asked to call officer Andres Fojas or Officer Ivan Tamura at the South Kohala Police station, 887-3080.
