Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 49-year-old South Kohala man wanted on warrants.

Adrien Haena Kalani, who has no permanent address,  is wanted for contempt of court, promoting a dangerous drug and possessing drug paraphernalia. He is also wanted for questioning in connection with an assault and an auto theft.

He is described as approximately 6-foot-2, 300 pounds with short black-and-gray hair and brown eyes.

Police caution the public not contact or approach him. Instead, anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
