Media Release

The Hawai’i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man in connection with an abuse and terroristic threatening investigation reported in Hilo on Monday (May 3). Police are seeking 27-year-old Larry Kalei Kamalii.

Kamalii is described as 5-foot-7, 200 pounds with a heavy build, black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask that anyone knowing his whereabouts call Detective James Gusman at 961-2278 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
