The Hawaiʻi Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the suspects responsible for a burglary that occurred at a closed business establishment in the 65-1200 block of Kawaihae Road in Kamuela.

On (August 23) between 10:57 p.m. and 11:05 p.m., two unidentified male parties were observed on video surveillance entering a locked window on the north side of the building on Kawaihae Road. Once in the establishment, the suspects located and removed a black colored safe that was bolted to the floor and contained an undisclosed amount of cash. Suspects then left the establishment taking the safe with them.

The first male party is described as approximately 5-feet-1-inches to 5-feet-6 inches tall with a medium to heavy build. He is observed wearing a short sleeve light-colored shirt, dark-colored pants, a baseball cap with a light-colored front, and dark-colored sneakers with white trim (photos 1-2).

The second male party is described as approximately 5-feet-1-inches to 5-feet-6 with a medium build.  He is observed wearing a long sleeve light-colored hoodie with partial words on the sleeves and front, which read “Stay Humble.” He was also wearing light-colored surfer type shorts and dark-colored sneakers with white trim.
