5-26-23 Wanted Individuals Arrested During Crime Reduction Unit Operation

During the past week, the Hawai’i Police Departments Area I Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) arrested and charged several wanted individuals during a joint operation in East Hawai’i.

The following individuals have been arrested and charged for various offenses:

25-year-old Thomas Matthew Kamakanaololua Kaho’oilihala was charged with:

Kaho’oilihala’s bail for the above charges was set at $95,000. Additionally, various other property crime related charges against Kaho’oilihala have been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office.

32-year-old Christen K. Lee was charged with:

Lee’s bail was set at $36,000.     

24-year-old Chad Kaleo Chamberlin Jr. was charged with:

Chamberlin’s bail was set at $25,000.

37-year-old Nicholas M. Cook was charged with:  

Cook’s bail was set at $5,100.00

20-year-old Cherish Anela Torres had an outstanding BOLO stemming from a domestic-related incident which occurred on May 23, 2023. She was charged with:

Torres’ bail was set at $3,500.

In addition to the listed individuals who were arrested, officers also recovered a stolen vehicle, and contacted numerous other individuals in relation to additional criminal cases currently under investigation.
