Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two teens who were reported as runaways in separate incidents.

Seventeen-year-old Kyra Kaeha was reported as a runaway on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, and was last seen in the area of Hoku Street in Hilo. She is known to frequent the Hilo area.

Kaeha is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 100 pounds, with shoulder length black hair and brown eyes.

Sixteen-year-old Bronson Histo was reported as a runaway and last seen in the Mountain View area on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, wearing surf shorts, white shirt, red baseball cap, and shoes.

He is 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone who may have information on either teen’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.

Anyone with information on Kaeha’s whereabouts is asked to contact Officer Bradley Waiki at bradley.waiki@hawaiicounty.gov. Citizens with knowledge of Histo’s whereabouts are asked to contact Officer Chezvis Carveiro of Puna Patrol at (808) 965-2716.
