Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 19-year-old Keona Taniguchi of Kona who was reported missing by his family on Friday, August 11, 2023.    

He is known to frequent the Kona area and was last seen on Monday, August 7, 2023, in the Pāhoa area.   

Taniguchi is 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tribal tattoo on his left shoulder and left hand. 

Police ask anyone with information on Taniguchi’s location to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
