Big Island police are looking for a Massachusetts man whose family hasn’t heard from him in more than two weeks.

The man was identified as James Paddock, 38, of Wendell, Massachusetts. Paddock’s family in Massachusetts reported the man missing after he had failed to contact them in more than two weeks. The family said he has been on the Big Island since November 2004 and has been doing farm or construction work in either Hilo or Mountain View since mid-January.

Paddock is described as being 5-foot-10 in height, weighing about 160 pounds and having blue eyes and short brown hair that gets curly when it grows longer. He is also described as usually having a mustache.

Anyone with information on Paddock’s whereabouts is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
