The Hawaii Isle Police Activities League is sponsoring the 2002 HI-PAL Summer Basketball League for the 11 and 12 and for the 13 and 14 divisions.
The deadline to register is July 2, 2002, and league games will be played from July 22 through August 31, 2002.
Players may participate in only one division, and each division will have a limited number of teams.
A mandatory coaches meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday July 2, at the Hilo police station’s training room. The topics to be discussed will be the league format, league rules and regulations and the starting date.
Eligibility for the league will be for boys and girls who have finished their respective age group in school. The age cut-off date for eligibility will be December 31, 2002. Those who have played for their high school will be ineligible.
Teams interested in playing should call the Hilo HI-PAL office at 961-2219 or 961-2220 as soon as possible.
