On Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at approximately 0716 hours, South Hilo Patrol Officers responded to a report of a traffic accident at the intersection of Kilauea Avenue and Palai Street.

Upon officers’ arrival at the scene it was determined that a green 1996 Ford 4dsd, operated by a 57-year-old Hilo woman was traveling east on Palai Street and collided with a small school bus traveling north on Kilauea Avenue being operated by a 58-year-old Hilo man.
