ID theft suspects

Media Release

Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating three suspects involved in an identity theft case. They used a stolen gift card to purchase various items in Kona and were captured on video.

The first suspect is described as a local woman, between 5-feet tall and 5-foot-6 with a heavy build and brown long straight hair. She was wearing a black skirt and top.

The second suspect is described as a local woman between 5-feet tall and 5-foot-6 with a heavy build with a heavy build and short brown hair. She was wearing a black top and jeans.

The third suspect is described as local male with a medium build, short dark hair and a mustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a logo and a baseball cap.

Police ask that anyone with information on their identities call Officer Severo Ines Jr. at 887-3082 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
