Juveniles arrested in burglary investigation 10-24-05

On October 21, 2005 (Friday) and October 22, 2005 (Saturday) Hawaii Police Department’s West Hawai`i Juvenile Aid Section Detectives, along with Kona Patrol Officers, arrested and charged four male juveniles in connection with the October 18, 2005 burglary of Pacific Vibrations store, in Kailua-Kona.

Another male juvenile was questioned regarding the incident and was released pending further investigation in the case.

In addition to the burglary charge, one of the juveniles was also arrested and charged for Cruelty to Animals after it was determined that he was responsible for killing a pet parrot within the establishment.

The case will be forwarded to the Hawaii County Prosecutor’s Office and Family Court for formal adjudication proceedings.

Police have recovered several of the items that were removed during the burglary and are following up on information and calls from the public regarding other persons that may have received items that were stolen.
