A Kailua-Kona man is in police custody on sexual assault charges.

Police responded to a 2 a.m. report Sunday (January 27) that a female minor had been sexually assaulted in Kailua-Kona. The victim was taken to Kona Community Hospital for examination of her injuries.

After receiving the results, police arrested 40-year-old Anthony Scott Colgrove at 8:25 a.m.

Juvenile Aid detectives charged Colgrove Tuesday morning with four counts of first-degree sexual assault. He is being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $200,000 bail.
