Big >Island> police are looking for a 14-year-old girl reported as missing. Kainoa Kala reportedly failed to return home on September 26, 2006.

She is described as Hawaiian, about 5-foot-3, 100 pounds, with a brown complexion, a small build, shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen in the Hill Crest subdivision wearing knee-length blue jeans, a blue top and a gray hooded jacket.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call Officer Walter Ah Mow of the West Hawaii Juvenile Section at 326-4646 ext. 302 or the Police Department’s non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
