Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the bronze sculpture of an octopus stolen from the Dreams of Paradise Gallery in downtown Hilo.

On May 17, 2003, the bronze sculpture was discovered missing from the gallery.

The sculpture is engraved with the signature of the artist, David Rudacille, and is numbered “7/99.” Both the signature and number are located beneath the sculpture on a tentacle.

Police are asking that anyone who has information about the theft or the whereabouts of the missing sculpture to call the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
