19-foot Mako boat
…stolen from Holua boat yard in Keauhou

The Hawai’i Police Department is investigating the theft of a boat from the Holua boat yard in Keauhou.

The 19-foot Mako boat and a Quickload boat trailer were removed from the boat yard sometime between April 25 and May 3.

The boat was equipped with twin 1999 stainless steel 50-horsepower Yamaha outboard motors.

Police recovered the boat and trailer at the end of South Point Road on May 4. It was missing the motors, motor switches and a motor shifter, white plastic pedestal captain seat, three outrigger holders, two Interstate batteries, two gaffes, five orange life vests, one blue square float, an eight-foot white Pomade fiberglass fish box and 50 gallons of gasoline.

Police ask that anyone with information about the stolen boat or its contents call Detective Sharlotte Bird at 326-4646, Ext. 228, or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
