Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a stolen pickup truck.

Sometime between December 28 and December 29, a lowered primer-black 1986 Toyota 2-wheel-drive pickup truck was taken from Honokaʻa town. The truck’s license plate is HJV 353. It may be in the Hilo area.

Police ask anyone with information about the whereabouts of the truck or the identity of the person operating it to call Officer John Kalauli at 775-7533 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
