On July 9, 2010, at about 3:13 p.m., patrol officers in the Kona District responded to Kona Old Airport for a reported aircraft accident.

After arriving, officers learned that a single engine Cessna aircraft operated by I’olani Airlines encountered engine trouble while in the air. The pilot made an emergency landing at Kona Old Airport.

The pilot and the plane’s two passengers were not injured and there were no damages reported.
