The Hawai’i Police Department is looking for witnesses to a vehicle-bicycle crash in Hilo in March.

A 56-year-old Hilo man was struck by a pickup truck while both the truck and bike were turning west onto Kanoelehua Avenue from Kekuanaoa Street around 10 p.m. on March 17. The truck, which was described as possibly white or gray, left the scene and continued west on Kanoelehua.

The victim reported that a pickup truck with four local males assisted him on the side of the road.

Police ask that those witnesses or any other witnesses call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
